Job summary

Good Samaritan in Saint Peter, MN is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapy Assistant to support patients under the supervision of an occupational therapist. You will help implement therapy activities and monitor progress to improve daily living skills in a senior care setting.

Responsibilities include documenting patient responses, adhering to clinical guidelines, and contributing to high-quality, compassionate care in a Christian environment.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state(s) of practice.
• NBCOT certification preferred for Sanford Health facilities.
• BLS certification required within six months of employment.
• May require valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with therapy activities and exercises scheduled in a treatment plan under an occupational therapist supervision.
• Provide, monitor and record therapy services to patients with physical, cognitive, developmental and psychosocial impairments.
• Document patient responses and progress related to outcome achievement and communication with the occupational therapist.
• Follow clinical practice guidelines and adapt interventions to practice setting and licensure requirements.
