Qualifications

• Must be licensed as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state(s) of practice.
• BLS certification required within six months of employment.
• Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.
• NBCOT certification may be required when working at Sanford Health facilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients/residents/clients with therapy activities and exercises under OT supervision to improve daily living activities.
• Document progress and provide information to the occupational therapist about responses to intervention.
• Contribute to outcome achievement and adhere to clinical practice guidelines; work across post-acute, long-term care, and home health environments as needed.
