Job summary

Dyersburg Health and Rehab is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our Therapy Team. You will plan, organize, develop, and direct Occupational Therapy Services in the facility in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, ensuring high-quality resident care.

The role involves screening residents, implementing treatment plans, communicating findings to residents and families, and coordinating therapy schedules with the interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• TN OTA licensure required.
• Ongoing continuing education to maintain licensure.

Responsibilities

• Screen residents to determine best intervention per scope of practice.
• Execute treatment plans and monitor progress.
• Interpret evaluation findings to residents and families and interdisciplinary team.
• Create individual therapy schedules with the team.
• Deliver therapy per established plan and document/bill services.
• Perform all other duties as assigned to effectively treat patients.
• Comply with CMS documentation standards daily.

Job description

Dyersburg Health and Rehab is seeking for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our Therapy Team. As a COTA you will be responsible to plan, organize, develop, and direct Occupational Therapy Services in facility in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be directed by Administrator, to ensure that highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

Status: Full-Time FT or Per Diem PRN

• Conduct regular screening of residents to figure out the best intervention or treatment for each individual patient based off scope of practice
• Perform treatment plan to residents; follow short and long term goals and methods to achieve goals based off of the established plan of care by supervising therapist
• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families/caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members
• Establish individual resident therapy schedules in cooperation with other team members
• Conduct therapy according to established treatment plan and ensure proper documentation and billing of occupational therapy services
• Perform all other duties as assigned and as required to effectively treat patients
• Comply with all CMS documentation standards of practice daily with point of care documentations as indicated

Education & Qualifications
