Qualifications

• Must be a licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).

Responsibilities

• Deliver skilled clinical treatments under the direction of an Occupational Therapist, adapting plans of care for adults/geriatrics.
• Address ADLs, IADLs, functional mobility, upper extremity function, fine motor skills, energy conservation, and joint protection.
• Assess home and apartment safety, cognitive-functional performance, sensory processing, visual-spatial skills, ergonomics, and routine organization.
• Educate residents, families, caregivers, and staff on adaptive equipment and compensatory daily living techniques.
• Leverage fitness centers, art studios, life enrichment spaces, outdoors, and therapy areas to practice real-world daily living.
• Identify subtle changes in function or safety and communicate with the supervising OT.
• Document progress and participate in plan-of-care updates.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and community leadership.
• Contribute to a culture of clinical excellence, compassion, professionalism, and ongoing learning.
