Job summary

Luxor Healthcare in Ballwin, MO is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to support the Occupational Therapist in implementing resident-specific treatment plans. This role offers both FT and PRN shifts, with opportunities to contribute to direct patient care and EMR documentation across care plans.

You will collaborate with the Rehab Team, provide education to residents and families, and participate in program development.

Qualifications

• Must be COTA certified.
• Experience with POS care delivery and EMRs.
• Ability to collaborate with Rehab Team.

Responsibilities

• Direct Patient Care: Provides direct treatment to patients in accordance with the established plan of care developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Treatment Support: Implement intervention plans, including ADL training, based on the guidance of the Occupational Therapist.
• Program development: Active participation in program development and clinical programming.
• Monitoring: Observe residents' performance and report any changes or concerns.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of resident progress and interventions; proficient with EMRs (Net Health/PCC).
• Education: Educate residents, family members, and care staff on safe techniques and exercises.
