Job summary

Luxor Healthcare in Saint Peters, MO, is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to support the supervising Occupational Therapist in implementing resident-specific treatment plans. The OTA will provide direct patient care, assist with intervention plans and data collection, participate in program development, and ensure accurate documentation in EMRs.

The role involves education for residents and families, collaboration with nursing and rehab staff, and active participation

Qualifications

• Must be COTA certified.
• Experience in rehabilitation setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care according to plan of care developed by supervising OT.
• Implement intervention plans, including ADL training, per OT guidance.
• Participate in program development and clinical programming.
• Observe residents' performance and report changes to OT.
• Maintain accurate documentation of resident progress and interventions.
• Educate residents and care staff on safe techniques and exercises.
• Collaborate with nursing and rehab staff to provide comprehensive care.
