Job summary

Trilogy Health Services, through Synchrony Rehab, seeks an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) in South Bend to assist with therapeutic interventions under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.

Responsibilities include carrying out treatment plans, aiding in ADL training, and documenting patient progress while working within an interdisciplinary team. Licensing and CPR preferred are noted in the qualifications.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a current, valid state OTA licensure or certification.
• CPR certification, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in carrying out treatment plans developed by occupational therapists, including therapeutic exercises, ADL training, and other interventions.
• Help patients with exercises, activities, and adaptive techniques to improve functional abilities and independence.
• Observe and document patient responses, progress, and report findings to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Provide education and guidance to patients and families on home exercises and strategies to support progress.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Support Occupational Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress.
