Job summary

Majestic Care of South Bend seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support high-quality rehabilitative care under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. You will implement individualized treatment plans to enhance ADLs, mobility, and independence for residents in a geriatric setting.

Responsibilities include delivering OT interventions, assisting with therapeutic exercises, documenting progress, and educating residents and caregivers on adaptive equipment.

Qualifications

• Must hold an Associate’s degree from an accredited OTA program.
• Current state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
• 1–2 years of geriatric/ SNF experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver OT interventions as directed by the supervising OT.
• Assist residents with ADLs and mobility activities.
• Monitor responses and report progress to the OT.
• Educate residents and caregivers on use of adaptive equipment.
• Maintain compliant documentation and HIPAA/OSHA adherence.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning meetings.
