Job summary

Ultimate Therapy is seeking a full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join the team at Autumn Lake at Scotch Plains in Scotch Plains, NJ. You will work with the OT to help skilled nursing residents regain daily living skills and independence.

Offering $32–$36/hour plus medical/dental/vision, 401(k), CEU reimbursement, parental leave, disability insurance, and referral bonuses. New grads welcome; NJ license and COTA certification required.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Occupational Therapy Assistant license and COTA certification.
• Ability to follow individualized care plans and resident-specific precautions.
• Effective communication, organization, and documentation skills.
• Skilled nursing experience is a plus; new graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on treatment guided by each resident's OT plan.
• Follow individualized care plans and resident-specific precautions.
• Lead prescribed exercises and functional tasks for upper-extremity skills.
• Reinforce adaptive equipment use and safe task completion.
• Communicate progress to supervising OT.
• Complete accurate treatment documentation and collaborate with the team.
