Job summary

Ultimate Therapy Services is seeking a full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) at Autumn Lake at Union in Union, NJ. This role focuses on helping skilled nursing residents develop daily living skills under the supervising OT's plan of care.

Qualifications

• Must hold New Jersey OT license and COTA certification.
• Able to follow individualized treatment plans and resident-specific precautions.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and documentation skills.
• Geriatric SNF experience preferred; new grads welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Deliver prescribed occupational therapy interventions tailored to residents' goals.
• Guide residents through dressing, grooming, bathing, and toileting activities with cueing.
• Incorporate therapeutic exercises to support upper-extremity function and endurance.
• Reinforce adaptive equipment techniques and energy-conserving strategies.
• Discuss progress and changes with supervising OT.
• Maintain timely treatment records and coordinate with nursing/rehabilitation staff.
