Job summary

Independence Rehab is seeking a Full-Time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our therapy team at Independence Rehab’s facility location. You’ll work in a skilled nursing setting with a geriatric population to support rehabilitation and functional independence.

We value patient-centered care, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and ongoing professional growth through competency training and education benefits.

Qualifications

• Current OTA license in good standing.
• Associate degree from an accredited OTA program.
• Organized, self-motivated, and patient-focused.
• Passion for working with the geriatric population.
• One year of SNF experience preferred, but newer clinicians with strong interest in geriatrics are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Support residents through rehabilitation, recovery, and long-term care to improve quality of life.
• Collaborate with the therapy team to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Perform and assist with transfers and ADL retraining as needed.
• Engage in competency training and growth opportunities.

Education

About the Role

As a COTA in a skilled nursing setting, you'll work collaboratively with the therapy team to support residents through rehabilitation, recovery, and long-term care-helping them achieve meaningful progress and improved quality of life.

SNF Practice Highlights

• Treat a diverse caseload, including occasional clinically complex patients
• Perform and assist with all types of transfers
• Provide adaptive ADL retraining and functional task practice
• Collaborate closely with the evaluating OT and interdisciplinary care team
• Competency training is available-we're happy to support your growth in any of these areas
