Job summary

The Palms at Venice is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support our rehabilitation team in Venice, FL. This full-time/part-time role delivers resident-centered occupational therapy services under OT supervision.

Responsibilities include providing skilled OT treatments, helping residents improve ADLs and mobility, documenting progress, and collaborating with therapy, nursing, and interdisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Current Florida COTA license (required).
• Experience in a Skilled Nursing or Post-Acute Care setting preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently while following OT supervision guidelines.
• Commitment to quality resident care and rehabilitation outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy treatments as directed by the supervising OT.
• Assist residents with improving ADLs, strength, coordination, and functional mobility.
• Accurately document treatment sessions and resident progress.
• Observe and report resident responses, progress, and any changes in condition.
• Collaborate with therapy, nursing, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Follow established care plans and comply with all regulatory guidelines.
