Job summary

Midtown Oaks Post Acute in Sacramento, CA is seeking a passionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team on a part-time basis. You will provide occupational therapy treatments under a licensed OT and help residents regain independence.

Qualifications

• Current California Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Experience in skilled nursing, post-acute, rehab, or long-term care preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist
• Assist patients in improving functional mobility and independence with daily activities
• Implement individualized treatment plans and therapeutic exercises
• Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately
• Communicate effectively with therapists, nursing staff, physicians, residents, and families
• Support discharge planning and continuity of care
• Maintain compliance with all facility, state, and federal regulations
