Job summary

Midtown Oaks Post Acute in Sacramento, CA is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team on a part-time basis. You will provide therapy under a licensed OT, helping residents regain independence and improve daily living skills.

Qualifications

• Current California COTA license.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Experience in skilled nursing, post-acute, rehabilitation, or long-term care preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Assist patients in improving functional mobility and independence with daily activities.
• Implement individualized treatment plans and exercises.
• Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately.
• Communicate with therapists, nursing staff, physicians, residents, and families.
• Support discharge planning and continuity of care.
