Job summary

The Plaza Health and Rehabilitation in Florida is seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our subacute rehabilitation team. The role offers full-time, part-time, and per diem schedules to support resident goals and daily functioning.

You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, providing therapeutic activities, accurate documentation, and patient education to promote recovery and independence.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) certification.
• Active state licensure or eligibility to practice.
• Experience in rehabilitation or healthcare is preferred; new graduates welcome.

Responsibilities

• Assist occupational therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans to promote independence and function.
• Engage residents in therapeutic activities and exercises to improve physical and cognitive skills.
• Maintain accurate patient progress documentation and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with nurses, PTs, and other staff to provide holistic care.
• Educate patients and families on home programs and adaptive techniques for recovery.
• Assist in assessing patient needs and progress under licensed therapists.
