Job summary

Aveanna Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a PRN/home health role serving the Miami area. You will provide skilled therapy under the supervision of an OT, educate patients and caregivers, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.

The position involves Monday–Friday scheduling with potential weekend work, territory from Miami to Homestead, and comprehensive home health care duties in a patient-centered setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an Occupational Therapist Assistant program accredited by a recognized body.
• Current, unrestricted State license as an OTA in the applicable state.
• Valid CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct occupational therapy as directed by the supervising OT and physician’s plan of care.
• Regularly update patient and caregiver on the plan of care.
• Deliver skilled therapy services and procedures for patient safety and outcomes.
• Record patient observations and communicate with physicians/RN as appropriate.
• Discharge planning and patient/caregiver education on home adaptations and assistive devices.
