The Weston Group is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to implement treatment plans under the Occupational Therapist's direction in our Austin facility. The COTA will assist with patient documentation and communicate progress to the OT and care team.

Responsibilities include applying OT techniques, maintaining patient dignity, recording daily progress, and coordinating with physicians, POA, nurses, and other therapists. Licensure and a background check are required.

Qualifikationen

• Associate of Science degree from an accredited institution.
• Licensed in the state practicing by the Board of Occupational Therapy.
• Criminal Background Check required.
• Knowledge of insurance guidelines related to rehabilitation services.

• Demonstrates OT techniques and treats patients effectively.
• Maintains patient dignity and rapport during treatment.
• Follows precautions and uses appropriate therapeutic techniques.
• Provides accurate and timely patient records.
• Documents progress and communicates changes to the plan.
• Communicates with physicians, POA, nurses and other therapists as needed.
• Notifies staff and family about equipment and treatment status.
• Attends patient-related meetings as required.
• Performs duties to maintain efficient department operation.
