Job summary

Santa Cruz Post Acute in Santa Cruz, CA is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for full-time, part-time, or PRN to join a dedicated therapy team in a skilled nursing environment. Qualifications

• Current CA COTA license or eligible to obtain license
• Graduate of an accredited COTA program
• Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills
• Prior SNF experience preferred but new grads welcome to apply

Responsibilities

• Provide treatment interventions as outlined in the resident's OT plan of care.
• Implement therapeutic programs to improve ADLs, mobility, strength, coordination, and cognition.
• Document daily treatment notes, progress updates, and resident responses per standards.
• Collaborate with the OT, therapy staff, nursing, and other disciplines to support goals.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on exercises, safety techniques, and functional strategies.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations and professional standards.
