Job summary

Glenbridge Health and Rehabilitation in Boone, NC is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our skilled nursing team under the supervision of a licensed OT. You will help residents improve daily living activities and independence.

Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, delivering ADL training, documenting progress, and educating residents and families on exercises and safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current and valid certification/licensure as a COTA.
• CPR certification required (or must obtain upon hire).
• Previous experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in implementing individualized treatment plans designed by the Occupational Therapist
• Providing occupational therapy interventions, including therapeutic activities, ADL training, adaptive equipment use, and functional mobility tasks
• Documenting residents' treatments, progress, and response to interventions in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
• Communicating regularly with the supervising OT regarding residents' progress and recommending modifications to treatment plans when appropriate
• Educating residents, families, and caregivers on exercises, adaptive strategies, and home safety techniques to promote continued independence
• Adhering to facility policies, professional standards of practice, and all state and federal regulations
