Job description

COTA Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant with The Menta Group, you will work with students to help them improve and develop the skills needed for daily life and work, according to their IEPs.

Staff Hours: 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mon-Fri, following a 10-month school calendar.

We are hiring COTAs at multiple schools (newly created positions) due to increased need.

Responsibilities

1. Provide educational support for students during times of confusion, frustration, and emotional upset.
2. Assist in developing and updating IEP goals and progress reports for your caseload.
3. Provide Occupational Therapy related service minutes and implement individual treatment plans as outlined in the IEP.
4. Maintain accurate related service logs updated weekly. Coordinate and communicate with administrative staff, teachers, and other related service personnel as needed or directed by the IEP.

Qualifications

• COTA Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant with IDFPR certification (or proof of application).
• Ability to work with students with ED/BD/OHI/Autism/TBI.
