Job summary

ABA Results LLC in Fort Myers, FL is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our growing team. You will implement OT treatment plans under supervision, help clients improve fine motor skills, ADLs, and sensory processing, and document progress.

The role emphasizes collaboration with OTs, caregivers, and a multidisciplinary team, with a compassionate, patient-centered approach. Florida licensure eligibility and NBCOT certification are required or needed to obtain

Qualifications

• Active NBCOT certification as a COTA is required.
• Florida state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure as a COTA.
• Experience with pediatric, adult, or diverse patient populations is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of occupational therapy principles, ADLs, and therapeutic interventions.

Responsibilities:

• Implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT)
• Assist clients in developing fine motor skills, sensory processing, and activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Document client progress, session notes, and treatment outcomes accurately and in a timely manner
• Collaborate with OTs, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care
• Adapt therapeutic activities and interventions to meet each client's unique needs and goals
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging therapy environment
• Participate in team meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development

Requirements:

• Active COTA certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
• Valid Florida state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure as a COTA
• Experience working with pediatric, adult, or diverse patient populations preferred
• Strong knowledge of occupational therapy principles, ADLs, and therapeutic interventions
• Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment
