Select Specialty Hospital in Fort Myers, FL is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a full-time role. The position offers an hourly compensation range of $27.00–$40.00, plus a $5,000 sign-on bonus, with Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts.

• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant is required.
• BLS certification is required or to be completed within 90 days as per state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Treating patients with complex needs under supervision of an OT.
• Conducting individual therapy regimens and adjusting treatment as indicated.
• Monitoring patient responses and documenting outcomes per department policy.
• Completing appropriate documentation and participating in continuing education seminars.

Responsibilities

• Reporting directly to the Occupational Therapist, you will be treating patients with complex needs and challenging diagnoses.
• Conducting individual patient therapy regimens under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist (OT).
• Monitoring patient's response to treatment and modifying treatment during sessions as indicated in collaboration with an OT.
• Completing appropriate documentation according to department policies and procedures.
• Participating in departmental, hospital, and community continuing education seminars and in-services.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant required.
• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required or as required by state regulations.
