Job summary

Graceworks Lutheran Services seeks a COTA to provide therapeutic support on-site at Bethany Village in Dayton, OH. The position is part-time/PRN, offering flexible hours and competitive compensation.

You’ll work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to deliver resident-centered care and participate in care planning. Responsibilities include assisting with treatments, adhering to safety and privacy policies, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to promote residents’

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher is preferred.
• GED or better acceptable.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Federal, State, local, and Bethany Village standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines; and the American Occupational Therapy Association’s Code of Ethics while providing quality care and treatment to residents.
• Provides treatment as directed and acts as an assistant to the Occupational Therapist.
• Adheres to OSHA standards and is responsible for the residents’ safety at all times while under care and treatment.
• Participates in individual residential rehabilitation planning and meetings.
• Interacts with residents, family members, staff member, and other healthcare professionals to promote efficient and quality care to the residents.
• Adheres to infection control policies, professional therapeutic services, and Bethany Village’s policies and procedures at all times while providing care to residents.
• Maintains an adequate inventory of adaptive aids for residents.
• Performs home assessments with analysis in conjunction with the Occupational Therapist.
• Performs other duties as directed.

Compensation: $34/hour

Job duties:

Minimum Expierience: At least one year experience, in geriatrics or subacute care; long-term health care setting preferred.

Minimum Qualifications: Associate’s degree from an accredited Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) program. Ohio License or eligible for a license as a COTA.
