Job summary

Regency Gresham Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to provide direct patient care under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist in a skilled nursing setting.

This FT role requires adherence to state laws, proper scope of practice, and collaboration with the supervising OT to adjust care plans and ensure high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Must have OTA degree from an accredited program.
• Current, unrestricted OTA license in the assigned state.
• Adaptability, compassion, detail oriented, friendly & courteous.
• Moderate physical strength is needed to assist patients.
• Ability to kneel, stoop and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of an Occupational Therapist, follow state laws governing occupational therapy in home care.
• Perform only procedures you are trained and qualified to perform.
• Make recommendations for changes in the plan of care to the supervising OT.

$12,500 Welcome Bonus (FT)

The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant assumes clinical responsibility in an assigned facility. This is a professional position with the primary responsibility of direct patient care under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist. Additional duties of an administrative nature are to be performed as assigned.

You will:

• Under the supervision of a Occupational Therapist, is at all times responsible to follow all state specific laws governing the provision of occupational therapy in home care
• Follow the treatment set only as defined by the Occupational Therapist; to perform only those procedures that the COTA is qualified and trained to perform
• Make all recommendations for changes in the plan of care to the supervising Occupational Therapist.

You currently:

• Possess a degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
• Possess, prior to, onboarding and maintain a current, unrestricted license to practice as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in assigned state.
• Adaptability, compassion, detail oriented, friendly & courteous.
• A moderate degree of physical strength is needed because of the exertion required to assist patients.
• Ability tokneel, stoop and stand for long periods of time with or without accommodation.
