Sweetwater Care in Willow Beach, OH is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our in-house team on a full-time or PRN basis.

You will work in a skilled nursing environment, collaborating with the Director of Rehab to design your own schedule and provide compassionate care to residents. Salary is based on experience, with flex scheduling options across 3, 4, or 5 days per week.

Qualifications

  • Active State Licensure or OTA certification required.
  • Experience in skilled nursing settings preferred.

  • Strong communication with residents and care teams.

Responsibilities

  • Treat patients according to the plan of care developed by the Licensed Occupational Therapist.
  • Communicate progress, concerns, and plans to the Occupational Therapist.
  • Be proficient in therapeutic needs to treat patients as directed by the Occupational Therapist.

The primary purpose of this position is to plan, organize, develop, and assist in facilitating our Occupational Therapy Services in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, regulations to assure that the highest degree of quality care can be always maintained.

Pay Based on experience.

Jobs and Responsibilities:
  • Treat patients according to the treatment plan of care developed by and under the supervision of the Licensed Occupational Therapist.

  • Communicate with the Occupational Therapist any pertinent information concerning patient progress, concerns, and plans.

  • Be proficient in therapeutic needs to treat patients based on their presentation and instructions given by the Occupational Therapist

  • Participate in patient Plan of care meetings if asked by the Director of Rehab.

  • Record treatment notes, progress notes, provide objective input for discharge summaries and complete daily billing of services per policy and procedure

  • Adherence to State Required practice acts, code of conduct, ethics during professional practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant

  • Adherence to Company requires policy, procedures and code of conduct

  • Active State Licensure or certification needed
