Job summary

Liberty Center is seeking a licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team in Philadelphia, PA. The role operates under the supervision of an OTR and follows state guidelines to provide comprehensive patient care.

You will assist with patient identification for rehab, document progress with timely weekly notes, secure physician orders for treatments, recertifications, and discharges, and participate in facility and rehab meetings as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under the supervision of an OTR and according to state guidelines.
• Assist OT in identifying appropriate patients and referring them to rehab accordingly.
• Document patient’s progress on weekly progress note in an accurate and timely fashion, and obtain the co-signature of the OTR.
• Ensure MD orders are obtained for treatments, recertification, and discharges.
• Assist with other documentation requirements as indicated and according to state guidelines.
• Attend facility and rehab meetings when indicated by the supervisor.
• Perform all other duties assigned by the department supervisor, lead therapist, or regional manager
