Job summary

Independence Rehab in the United States is seeking a Full-Time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our therapy team at Facility Name, a well-regarded skilled nursing facility in Facility City. As a COTA, you will work with the therapy team to support residents through rehabilitation, recovery, and long-term care—helping them achieve meaningful progress and improved quality of life.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) license in good standing.
• Associate degree from an accredited OTA program.
• Organized, self-motivated, and patient-focused.
• Passion for working with the geriatric population.
• One year of SNF experience preferred, but newer clinicians with strong interest in geriatrics are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Treat a diverse caseload, including occasionally clinically complex patients.
• Perform and assist with all types of transfers.
• Provide adaptive ADL retraining and functional task practice.
• Collaborate closely with the evaluating OT and interdisciplinary care team.
• Competency training is available to support growth in key areas.

About the Role

As a COTA in a skilled nursing setting, you'll work collaboratively with the therapy team to support residents through rehabilitation, recovery, and long-term care-helping them achieve meaningful progress and improved quality of life.

SNF Practice Highlights
