Job summary

University of North Dakota is seeking a part-time Costume Assistant to construct, alter and repair costumes under designer specifications, including patterning, cutting, sewing and fitting. The role supports the wardrobe team during rehearsals and performances.

Responsibilities include dyeing, distressing, pulling costumes from stock, organizing storage, assisting with fittings and quick changes, and maintaining costumes throughout the run.

Qualifications

• Part-time, non-benefited position for UND students.
• Willingness to be trained on shop equipment (sewing machines, sergers, irons, steamers).
• Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check.

• $14.00 hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
• 10 hours per week
• 100% Remote Work Availability: No
• Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): No
