Job summary

Weber State University is seeking a Costume Rental Agent for the Costume Studio on the Ogden, UT campus. You will handle all costume rentals, meet with renting institutions, prepare rentals, process billing, restock, and maintain storage.

You may supervise practicum students who sign up to complete hours in the Studio, and assist with scheduling and inventory management. This 20-hour/week role runs for nine months.

Qualifications

• Must be a current WSU student.
• Theatre major with an emphasis on Costume Design.
• Minimum of 1 year working in a costume shop.
• Good customer service and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Pay Grade Salary

Hourly Pay Rate $ 12.00 FLSA Job Summary/Basic Function

The costume rental agent will be responsible for all costume rentals for the Costume Studio. This includes meeting with institutions that are renting, preparing rentals, billing paperwork, restocking rentals, and keeping costume storage organized and clean. In addition, they will have the opportunity to instruct and supervise practicum students who signed up to complete hours in the Studio.

Required Qualifications

• Must be a current WSU student.
• Must be a Theatre Major with an emphasis on Costume Design.
• Must have a minimum of 1 year working in a costume shop.
• Must have a good customer service and organizational skills.

This position is 50/50 eligible, student must be enrolled full-time and have at least a 2.0 GPA in order to qualify.

Preferred Qualifications

• It is recommended that applicant has completed (with a passing grade) the Costume History, Costume Design, and Costume Technologies courses.
