Job summary

Rimports, LLC seeks an Operations Controller to own inventory costing, variance analysis, and the monthly close. This hands-on leadership role reports to Finance leadership and partners with Operations on sourcing, pricing, and cost containment.

The ideal candidate will drive standard costing, maintain BOMs, and build reports used by senior management to understand where money is made or lost. Strong ERP and US GAAP experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting and 8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• 4+ years in cost accounting within manufacturing/CPG/distribution.
• Expertise in standard costing, BOMs, inventory valuation, and variance analysis.
• US GAAP knowledge related to inventory and COGS.
• Advanced Excel and hands-on ERP experience.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to explain results to operations.

Responsibilities

• Own standard cost system: develop, maintain, and roll forward standard costs for all materials and products.
• Maintain BOMs and routings; validate material, labor, and overhead components.
• Develop overhead absorption rates and analyze variances to management.
• Value inventory per US GAAP and manage reserves for excess/inactive stock.
• Oversee month-end close for inventory and COGS; deliver KPIs and analytics.
• Partner with Operations on budgeting, forecasting, and cost reduction initiatives.
