Job summary

Skyline-Display in Eagan, MN seeks a Job Costing Accountant to support high-volume manufacturing and trade show services. You will recognize revenue and COGS, allocate costs to jobs, and ensure GAAP compliance across multiple projects.

The role covers monthly close, accurate cost tracking, and collaboration with operations. A Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance and 1–3 years of experience are required, with SAP/ERP proficiency and strong Excel skills. Hybrid schedule in Eagan HQ.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1–3 years experience in accounting; job costing or manufacturing is a plus.
• Strong GAAP knowledge including revenue recognition and deferral accounting.
• Experience with ERP systems, especially SAP.
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivots).

Responsibilities

• Process revenue recognition for custom booths and trade show services.
• Review COGS allocations and ensure accurate cost tracking by job.
• Maintain and reconcile deferred revenue schedules monthly.
• Apply GAAP/ASC 606 standards across job types.
• Identify and escalate revenue or COGS discrepancies for timely resolution.
• Review monthly revenue/COGS for complete and accurate postings.
• Prepare job cost entries and ensure costs are correctly assigned to projects.
• Upload daily freight costs into SAP and resolve discrepancies with operations.
• Reconcile COGS and revenue to the general ledger monthly.
• Support month-end close with documentation for audits.
• Identify process improvements for cost tracking and internal controls.
