Job summary

Withum is seeking a Cost Segregation Supervisor to lead engagements across multiple U.S. office locations, including Seattle. The role emphasizes mentoring teams, overseeing site inspections, and delivering IRS-compliant cost segregation studies.

Hybrid in-office expectation is 3 days per week. You will collaborate with tax, valuation, and real estate professionals to maximize client value while managing budgets and timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (Construction/Engineering/Accounting/Finance)
• 5+ years of experience in cost segregation, construction estimating, engineering, real estate valuation, or related fields
• Pursuit of CPA, EA, CCSP, or similar certification is a plus
• Strong knowledge of IRS cost segregation guidance, tax depreciation methodologies, and related authorities
• Advanced understanding of construction methods, building systems, and asset classification principles
• Experience supervising engagement teams and managing multiple projects
• Knowledge of real estate appraisals, valuations, and cost allocation methodologies
• Proficiency with estimating software such as RS Means, Marshall & Swift, Planswift or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple cost segregation engagements from planning through final delivery
• Supervise and mentor associates and senior associates to ensure quality and accuracy
• Conduct and oversee site inspections to document components and support IRS classifications
• Review construction cost documentation and financial records
• Analyze blueprints and project specifications to support asset classifications
• Prepare and review engineering-based cost segregation reports and schedules
• Collaborate with tax, valuation, and real estate professionals on client solutions
• Build and maintain client relationships through proactive communication
• Manage engagement budgets, timelines, and client expectations
• Assist with practice development, proposals, and identifying new services
