Job summary

Withum is seeking a Cost Segregation Supervisor to lead engagements across industrial, commercial real estate and hospitality assets. Based in a U.S.

office, this hybrid role involves planning, supervising, and delivering cost segregation studies while mentoring staff and ensuring IRS-compliant classifications. You will collaborate with tax, valuation and real estate professionals, manage budgets and deadlines, and build strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of cost segregation, construction estimating, engineering, real estate valuation, or a related field.
• Pursuit of CPA, EA, CCSP, or other relevant professional certification is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of IRS cost segregation guidance, tax depreciation methodologies, and relevant tax authorities.

Responsibilities

• Managing multiple cost segregation engagements from planning through final delivery.
• Supervising, reviewing, and mentoring associates and senior associates to ensure quality and accuracy of work product.
• Conducting and overseeing property site inspections to document building components and support IRS-compliant classifications.
• Reviewing construction cost documentation, general ledgers, contractor payment applications, and other financial records.
• Analyzing blueprints, construction drawings, and project specifications to support asset classifications and cost allocations.
• Preparing and reviewing engineering-based cost segregation reports and supporting schedules.
• Collaborating with tax, valuation, and real estate professionals to provide integrated client solutions.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships through proactive communication and responsive service.
• Managing engagement budgets, timelines, and client expectations to ensure successful project completion.
• Assisting with practice development initiatives, proposal development, and identifying opportunities for additional services.
