Job summary

Withum is seeking a Cost Segregation Manager to lead a portfolio of engagements across commercial and residential real estate, guiding teams and serving as the primary client contact. Hybrid in-office schedule with 3 days/week in the office.

You will drive practice growth through business development, oversee site inspections and engineering analyses, and mentor junior staff while collaborating with firm leadership to deliver tax savings and real estate solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Architecture, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in cost segregation, construction consulting, real estate valuation, or related discipline.
• CPA, EA, CCSP, or equivalent certification preferred.
• Experience leading cost segregation engagements and advising depreciation strategies.
• Advanced knowledge of IRS cost segregation guidance and depreciation regulations.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies and property cost analysis.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and multi-project leadership.
• Experience supporting business development efforts and client opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Lead diverse portfolio of cost segregation engagements for commercial, residential, and specialty real estate assets.
• Serve as primary client contact and trusted advisor throughout the engagement lifecycle.
• Review and approve technical analyses and engineering reports for IRS compliance.
• Oversee site inspections, cost analyses, and asset classifications by engagement teams.
• Drive practice growth via business development and client relationship expansion.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to supervisors and staff.
• Manage engagement economics, budgets, staffing and resources.
• Collaborate with leadership on proposals and growth initiatives.
• Participate in client presentations, networking, webinars and thought leadership.
• Monitor IRS guidance and tax law developments impacting cost segregation.
• Support recruiting and career development within the practice.
