Job summary

Socket.dev seeks a Project Cost Performance Specialist to drive cost optimization across the product development lifecycle. You will consolidate TPC forecasts, support cost targets, and guide engineering, finance, and program teams to achieve profitability from concept to SOP and beyond.

You will lead cost assessments, develop should-cost models, and benchmark against targets, while delivering clear cost-performance reporting and governance throughout programs.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering or accounting/finance required.
• Minimum 5 years in forecasting or budgeting.
• Strong cost analysis and manufacturing finance experience.
• Understanding of vehicle systems and product development lifecycle.
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate and manage Total Production Cost (TPC) forecasts from project initiation through SOP and mass production.
• Support cost targets and provide guidance on components and vehicle adaptation costs.
• Lead design-to-cost activities and ensure integration of methodologies in development processes.
• Develop robust should-cost models and cost-saving strategies with Cost Engineering teams.
• Provide data-driven insights, track progress toward cost objectives, and report to leadership.
