Job summary

H Mart in Whittier, CA is hiring for an accounting role focused on accounts payable processing, expense verification, and financial statement preparation. You will use SAP R3 for data entry, manage accruals, and assist with fixed assets and inventory reconciliation.

Strong Excel/Word skills and GAAP knowledge are essential. The position requires 1–3 years of relevant experience, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and bilingual capacity in Korean and English at a basic level.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to work in the US.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 1–3 years’ accounting experience preferred with training program available.
• General understanding of accounting processes and functions.
• Excellent communication and ability to work cross-functionally.
• Proficiency in Excel and Word.
• Experience with SAP R3; S4 HANA experience a plus.
• Must read/write Korean; basic English comprehension required.

Responsibilities

• Review and process invoices and enter data in SAP R3.
• Prepare operational expenditure payment batch.
• Review expense reports for GAAP compliance and policies.
• Reconcile operational expense accounts and identify discrepancies.
• Manage prepaid/ accrued expenses and depreciation schedules.
• Track corporate fixed assets and depreciation.
• Monitor and reconcile operational inventory.
• Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
• Prepare financial statements related to operating expenses (balance sheets, income statements).
• Analyze spending trends to identify cost reduction opportunities.
• Handle special projects as assigned.
