Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to join our Chicago team and deliver cost management on complex construction projects. Our Chicago team supports projects across commercial real estate, corporate occupier, data center, and other sectors, providing opportunities to work with leading clients on impactful projects.

The successful candidate will manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders while ensuring effective delivery of cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or field related to construction.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in cost management in construction.
• RICS accreditation is valuable or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on strategies, prequalify vendors, assess proposals and bids, chair bid interviews, and manage appointment processes.
• Develop project estimates for construction, fees and direct costs, review estimates by juniors, and present value engineering recommendations.
• Create cost reports, forecasts, and risk registers; lead meetings with project teams and vendors.
