Job summary

Turner & Townsend are looking for a Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to join our San Francisco team, supporting construction cost services across a diverse portfolio and delivering estimates, cost plans and value engineering. The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years in cost management, a related bachelor’s degree, and strong client-facing communication; progress toward or attainment of RICS is a plus.

This on-site role offers growth within a global practice dedicated to governance and delivering cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5+ years of experience in cost management, QS, or estimating in construction.
• Experience on medium to large-scale construction projects.
• Progress toward or attainment of RICS is a plus.
• Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Advise client on strategies, manage vendor prequalification, and lead bid interviews.
• Develop project estimates and present value engineering recommendations.
• Establish cost reporting and manage commercial risk registers.
• Oversee cost control, change orders, and payment requisitions.
• Perform final accounting, post-contract audits, and lessons learned.
