Job summary

Turner & Townsend is looking for a Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to support cost management on corporate real estate, office, and workplace projects across multiple U.S. markets. The role involves estimating, cost control, and providing strategic cost recommendations.

The candidate should have 3–5 years of relevant experience, a construction-related bachelor’s degree, and may be pursuing RICS. This is an on-site position with potential for bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or field related to construction.
• 3–5 years of relevant cost management experience in construction.
• RICS accreditation or working towards it is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Advise client on strategies, prequalify vendors, assess proposals and bid documents, and chair bid interviews.
• Develop project estimates covering construction, fees, direct work and other costs; review estimates by juniors and present to client.
• Prepare cost reports and forecasts, maintain risk registers, and lead meetings with project teams and vendors.
• Oversee cost control: review payment applications, entitlements, change orders, and resolve disputes.
• Monitor invoicing process and benchmark performance against similar projects.
• Conclude final accounting and post‑contract audits; conduct post‑contract reviews for lessons learned.
