Job summary

Lenovo is seeking an Assistant Cost Manager to join the Cloud Service Provider Group in Morrisville, NC. This hybrid role focuses on cost estimation, optimization, and cross-functional collaboration with PMs, RD, and procurement.

You will drive cost balance sheets, participate in commercial bids, and support contract pricing. A bachelor’s degree in Finance/Analytics/Engineering and 2+ years of cost controlling experience with SAP are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Finance, Analytics, or Engineering (or equivalent).
• 2+ years of project cost controlling experience and SAP experience.
• Ability to work in a hybrid, cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop cost estimation cost balance sheet.
• Identify cost optimization opportunities and drive design for cost initiatives.
• Align cost structure and cost target with PMs, RD and procurement team.
• Cost control including build forecast and reporting.
• Take part in commercial bid and support contract pricing when required.
• Drive special cost support with vendors for high volume opportunities.
• Rebate claim final cost settlement change.
• Participate in ODT committee, closely communicate, coordinate, and align with cross-functional team.

About Our Team

We are hiring an Assistant Cost Manager to work in Lenovo’s Cloud Service Provider Group (CSP). CSP is a fast-paced customer-centric organization that adapts to changing market demands to serve customer needs.

Location: Morrisville, NC (hybrid, 3 days on-site/2 days remote)

What You’ll Do

• Develop cost estimation cost balance sheet
• Identify cost optimization opportunities and drive design for cost initiatives
• Align cost structure and cost target with PMs, RD and procurement team
• Cost control including build forecast and reporting
• Take part into commercial bid and support contract pricing when required
• Drive special cost support with vendors for high volume opportunities
• Rebate claim final cost settlement change
• Participate in (Offering Delivery Team) ODT committee, closely communicate, coordinate, and align with cross-functional team

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or above in Finance, Analytics, or an Engineering discipline
• 2+ years of project cost controlling experience and experience in SAP

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong negotiation skills
• International company experience collaborating with global cross-functional teams
