Job description

Cost Manager

We are hiring a Cost Manager to work in Lenovo's Cloud Service Provider Group (CSP). CSP is a fast-paced customer-centric organization that adapts to changing market demands to serve customer needs.

This individual will support key CSP customers to drive cost optimization and build the cost structure and cost forecast in the product definition and development stage.

Location: Morrisville, NC (hybrid, 3 days on-site/2 days remote)

What You'll Do

• Develop cost estimations & cost balance sheets
• Identify cost optimization opportunities and drive design for cost initiatives
• Align cost structure and cost target with Product Managers, R&D, and procurement teams
• Build forecasting and reports
• Take part into commercial bids and support contract pricing when required
• Drive special cost support with vendors for high volume opportunities
• Rebate claims & cost accounting
• Closely communicate, coordinate, and align with global cross-functional teams

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or Engineering
• 5+ years of experience in cost management or Bachelor's Degree in Business/Accounting with 5+ years of Supply Chain or Engineering related experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in the data center industry or in the Cloud Service Provider market
• Experience with Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Project Management experience
