• Prepare cost-estimate reports, life-cycle cost documentation, economic analyses, and cost-validation records for review and approval.

Overview

Tactica Solutions is searching for a Cost Estimator to support infrastructure projects from initial planning through programming and execution. This role develops reliable cost information that helps decision-makers evaluate alternatives, prioritize investments, and make informed funding decisions.

Location: Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii.

• Prepare, review, and refine estimates for maintenance, repair, modernization, and new-construction requirements. Capture applicable direct and indirect cost elements and produce complete, supportable documentation.
• Use approved estimating tools, historical data, and accepted methodologies to develop parametric and detailed estimates appropriate to each project’s scope and maturity.
• Compare feasible alternatives and prepare cost-benefit information that supports project justification and informed decision-making.
• Validate costs for near- and long-term requirements and coordinate with authorized planning and asset-management stakeholders to assess financial feasibility and support project prioritization.
• Prepare cost-estimate reports, life-cycle cost documentation, economic analyses, and cost-validation records for review and approval through authorized channels.
• Handle project information in accordance with applicable security, privacy, and records-management requirements. Share details only with authorized personnel through approved systems and communication channels

Requirements

Education / Certification:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an institution accredited in the United States.

Required Experience:

• At least 3 years of military facility/infrastructure experience.
• At least 5 years of cost estimating experience.

Clearance:

• Satisfactory outcome of a background investigation for Tier 1 access is required.

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. May include lifting weight up to thirty (30) pounds as necessary.
