Job summary

Parametrix, an employee-owned consulting firm, seeks a Cost Estimator to join Advisory Services. You will contribute to multi-discipline engineering teams, develop conceptual and detailed estimates, and perform quantity takeoffs for infrastructure and public utility projects.

Hybrid work options are available, with opportunities to collaborate in an office for mentorship or work remotely, reporting to team leadership. Salary ranges $90,000–$110,000 USD.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in construction management and/or engineering with a focus on cost estimating.
• 2+ years of experience preparing cost estimates through planning and design phases.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a multi-discipline engineering team as a cost estimator.
• Support development of conceptual and detailed engineering and construction estimates.
• Conduct quantity and material takeoffs.
• Build the Basis of Cost Estimate based on feedback from users, owners, and engineering teams.
• Conduct market research to understand cost drivers for material and labor.
• Establish relationships with clients through workshops and defensible data.
• Collaborate with team members and clients across projects.
