Base pay range

$50.00/hr - $55.00/hr

Employment Type: Contract through 05/26/2026 (High potential for extension)

Location: Remote

Position Overview:

We are seeking a mid-level Cost Estimator to join a growing estimating department supporting major infrastructure projects, including facilities, electric generation, pipelines, metering stations, and transmission/substation lines. This role is remote and ideal for candidates with 4–10 years of relevant experience.

Department Overview:

• Team of 11 professionals
• Responsible for delivering cost estimates across a wide range of capital projects
• Key focus: developing engineering estimates to support financial planning and decision-making
• Anticipated workload: 800+ estimates projected in 2025

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with engineering, project management, and cost scheduling teams
• Review engineering designs and specifications to develop accurate cost baselines
• Deliver 5–10 detailed estimates weekly across multiple project types
• Participate in regular operational reviews (daily/weekly)

Required Qualifications:

• 4–10 years of relevant experience in cost estimating or cost analysis
• Strong construction knowledge, particularly in infrastructure or energy-related projects
• Familiarity with electrical estimating is highly desirable
• Proficiency in estimating tools such as WinEst, enhanced Excel modeling, or other similar platforms (e.g., Trimble)
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and translate them into cost impacts

Preferred Background:

• Experience supporting capital projects in utilities, transmission, or industrial sectors
• Cost analyst experience with an emphasis on budgeting and forecasting
• Electrical estimating experience is a plus
• Certifications are not required but considered a bonus
