Job Summary:

Large utility is looking for a Cost Estimator. This is a remote contract position estimated to last 12 months, with the possibility of extension or becoming permanent. The role involves independently preparing complex cost estimates across various engineering disciplines using advanced cost control techniques and computerized systems. Work Hours:

8am to 5pm

Education:

Bachelor's degree

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare complete cost estimates for medium-sized and complex projects.
2. Handle various contract types independently or under supervision.
3. Possess advanced knowledge in a specific estimating discipline: Civil, Structural, Architectural, Mechanical, or Electrical.
4. Utilize industry-standard concepts, practices, and procedures.
5. Apply estimating techniques and cost control measures effectively.
6. Interpret and work with computerized cost data and systems.

Education and Experience:

• 4-year related college degree and 4 years of related experience.
• 8 years of industry experience.
• Certification from AACE (CCP or CEP) or ASPE is required.
