Job summary

Bechtel seeks a Cost Engineer for its Renewables & Clean Power team. The role supports preconstruction planning, cost monitoring, and budget development for a major gas-fired power project.

You will help develop quantity takeoffs, assign project codes, and ensure cost data accuracy for EPC delivery. Ideal candidates bring a bachelor’s in Engineering or Construction Management and practical experience in cost estimation and project controls.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent.
• Experience in quantity takeoffs, cost analysis, and financial reporting for projects.
• Familiarity with capital cost estimation and project controls processes.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine cost estimating, analysis, and control activities.
• Supports cost monitoring, control standards, systems, and reporting.
• Assists with budget allocation and cost control for construction disciplines.
• Assists in developing quantity takeoffs and project codes of accounts.
• Supports project trend program and earnings/RR data processes.
• Assists in applying unit rates to quantity takeoffs and cost data.
