Quanta Power Solutions is seeking a Senior Cost Specialist to lead cost management, forecasting, budgeting, and performance reporting across large EPC projects. You will support power generation, storage, renewables, and infrastructure initiatives with a focus on integrated project controls and profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in project controls, cost engineering, cost management, project finance, construction management, or related disciplines.
• Experience supporting large-scale EPC, utility, industrial, infrastructure, or power generation projects.
• Experience managing cost controls for projects exceeding $100 million.
• Demonstrated forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting experience.
• Ability to travel as needed for site visits and project activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead project cost management activities for large-scale EPC projects from initiation through closeout.
• Develop, maintain, and monitor budgets, forecasts, cash flow, commitments, expenditures, and EAC/ETC.
• Analyze project financial performance, including cost variances, labor productivity, procurement, subcontractor costs, and KPIs, identifying risks and corrective actions.
• Prepare executive-level cost reports, dashboards, forecasts, and financial performance summaries for leadership.
• Lead Earned Value Management (EVM) processes, monitoring CPI, SPI, and productivity metrics.
• Evaluate financial impacts of change orders, contract modifications, claims, and scope changes.
• Partner with PMs, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Scheduling, Accounting, and Commercial teams for integrated controls.
• Support startup, baseline development, execution, forecasting, and closeout with alignment of cost, schedule, and progress reporting.
• Review commitments, purchase orders, invoices, accruals, and transactions for accurate performance and compliance.
• Assist with annual budgeting, financial planning, audits, monthly close, and executive reporting.
• Develop and implement cost control strategies and best practices to improve profitability.
• Mentor Cost Specialists and Project Controls personnel.
