Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Cost Engineer for the Cheyenne, Wyoming area to support preconstruction planning and early-stage development on a large power generation project. The role involves routine cost estimating, data development, and participation in cost control frameworks.

You will assist with budget allocations, takeoffs, and project codes, helping ensure staying on budget as the project progresses toward EPC delivery. A home-office option may be available before relocation to Cheyenne.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor’s degree or international equivalent and 2–5 years of relevant experience or 6–9 years of relevant work experience.
• Degree in Engineering or Construction Management, OR equivalent Project Controls experience.
• Experience with quantity takeoffs, statistical analysis, and financial reports.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine cost estimating, analysis, and control activities as directed.
• Supports cost monitoring and control standards, techniques, systems, and reports.
• Assists with budget allocation and reporting/cost control for specific disciplines.
