The Weitz Company is seeking a Cost Controller Engineer to help establish and manage a cost control system, ensuring projects stay within approved budgets. The role involves identifying budget deviations, analyzing impacts, and monitoring corrective actions, with a readiness to relocate for future project needs.

The position requires collaborating across teams, assisting with cost reporting, and supporting change management in a dynamic construction environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of cost control, finance, accounting, or project coordination preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred (related experience may be considered in place of a degree).

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with the project plan.
• Assist with earned value progress measurement.
• Monitor cost estimates, expenditures, forecasts, and trend analysis.
• Maintain cost data accuracy and drive corrective action.
• Attend and participate in meetings.
• Coordinate with site team to ensure progress data accuracy.
• Assist with changes in project scope and contingency planning.
• Prepare cost reports and manage changes in Procore.
