Cost Basis Reporting Analyst (Temp-to-Perm)

On-site – Memphis, TN (889 Ridge Lake Blvd)

Hybrid available after permanent conversion (3 days in office / 2 days WFH)

Contract Type:

Full-time | Temp-to-Perm (~3.5 months temp period)

Hourly Pay: Up to $22.50/hr (Temp)

Conversion Salary: $47,000 – $48,000 (Based on performance)

Start Date: ASAP

Equipment Provided: Laptop and monitors

About the Role

A leading investment firm is seeking detail-oriented, client-focused professionals to join their Cost Basis Reporting team in Memphis. This role supports essential back-office operations that ensure accurate cost basis and gain/loss reporting for clients. Ideal candidates will have experience in financial services, auditing, or brokerage operations and possess strong Excel skills and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

Input and maintain data in cost basis and client reporting systems
Update accounts for individual and business clients based on valuations, dates of death, and corporate actions
Review reports and reconcile data discrepancies
Communicate with internal branch teams via email regarding account updates (templates and guidelines provided)
Research and resolve issues related to financial reporting and client data
Follow internal procedures and compliance protocols

Qualifications

Education:

High school diploma or GED required
Some college preferred (Finance, Accounting, or Economics a plus)

Experience:

1+ year in finance, banking, auditing, or operations preferred
Familiarity with brokerage or investment firm environments is beneficial

Skills:

Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel, Outlook, SharePoint
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong written communication, particularly in a professional email setting
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and follow structured procedures
Knowledge of financial products, cost basis, or capital gains reporting is a plus
